Loving Self: Dr. Jeff Mayfield

Dr. Mayfield discusses the types of love found in the Bible before and after the fall; and he identifies loves that are appropriate for the Christian.

So, if you have been trying to balance selfishness with, e.g., selflessness in your Christian walk, then this brief talk will provide you with some foundational help in arriving at criteria by which you might better evaluate your walk; establish personal goals in your Christian life….

In the following 6 minute video, Dr. Mayfield’s discussion is based on a Jonathan Edwards sermon: Charity contrary to a selfish spirit.

For other sermons by Dr. Mayfield in this blog, see: Categories:  John Owen; Jonathan Edwards; Thomas Brooks; and Calvin’s Institutes. In all instances, very brief videos were used to discuss difficult topics which were made user friendly, so to speak — easy to understand, by Dr. Mayfield.
