I have used a few of The Babylon Bee’s pieces to lighten election news; the following 5 minute video explains why they have a difficult time creating satire these days. The following quote is the video narrative, from the YouTube site, PragerU:
“Seth Dillon is the CEO of The Babylon Bee, where they write satire for a living. You’d think that would be easy in today’s absurd world, but in reality, it’s just the opposite. Seth explains why this endangers the very concept of free speech and the open exchange of ideas.”
PragerU is a great site for 5 minute videos on current social topics; I have used numerous of their videos to explain such ideas as intersectionality, social justice, etc.
Each PragerU video is done by a person who could be considered an expert on that topic; so, if you have questions about some current social problem, trend…, then you ought to check their site for a video on it.
