When Jonathan Edwards studied those who reported they were converted during the great awakening of 1740, his analysis yielded a group of signs that indicated true and counterfeit conversion experiences. He called the signs that are indicative of those who have experienced true conversion, sure signs; and those experiencing false conversion, Not sure signs.

The 3 videos below, 3 – 6 minutes in length, are the final three signs recorded in his book, Religious Affections.

Dr. Jeff Mayfield created these videos as a quick way of learning what J. Edwards discovered in his study. I have read the book and listened to it on Audible, and it is no easy read. I am very grateful to have found Dr. Mayfield’s videos. I hope they are of benefit to the reader also.
