In the following 6-minute sermon excerpt, pastor Paul Washer provided a couple of examples of how the gospel message could be shared with an atheist.
He emphasized that it is necessary to share the gospel message for the salvation of hearers with whom you interact; and he talked mostly about what your focus ought to be. I was reminded of 1 Peter 3 as I listened to his advice.
If you desire the salvation of family and friends that you have thus far been unsuccessful in reaching, then you may find some help in his words.
The following narrative is from the YouTube site, I’ll Be Honest, and accompanied the video:
Question: So I was saved about two years ago from, well, atheism, and I have a pretty atheistic family. And so I’ve been trying to share the gospel with them. Ever since I was saved. And just finally, recently, I’m engaged in a conversation with my sister, and she’s wanting to get into a discussion about evidence and I’m just curious if you guys can touch on should I engage in that or not?
