The sermon excerpt that I posted yesterday, featuring a clip of a John MacArthur sermon, assessed the following situation from a biblical perspective, if you are interested in knowing that, it is linked at the very bottom of this post. However, there are some other points that need to be made about that spectacle.
Franklin Graham said quite a lot in about those things in the following 8-minute video by Newsmax.
What he did not say that is very relevant:
The social-activist bishop is not a Christian for the following reasons, noted below the video.
Other reasons that make the activist bishop Buddy, unqualified to call herself a preacher in God’s church:
- One cannot both be a Marxist and a Christian, the worldviews oppose one another (see the CATEGORY CRT for other posts on that matter)
- She is a Cultural Marxist and holds to their theories on race: CRT is designed to create disunity over race, that disunity facilitates the destabilization of nations such that they eventually fall and can be occupied by Marxists (that is why Obama, H Clinton and the communists that have infiltrated our government promote it)
- She subscribes to LGBTQ which opposes God, Christ and the Bible
- She is in rebellion against God by merely occupying a role that God says must be occupied by a man
- If she were a qualified Christian pastor, the words she uttered from the pulpit did not qualify as a sermon: she said nothing about God or Christ’s gospel; she cited no scripture; she therefore, could not explain any scripture. Those are duties of pastors. No pastor is permitted by God to speak his own opinions, or political views from God’s pulpit. A pastor could cite and explain scripture and relate it to unbiblical political situations… that is not what she did
- Lastly, a theologian, J. Gresham Machen wrote the book, Christianity and Liberalism, in the 1920’s that clearly explained that theological Liberalism is NOT Christianity. Theological liberals have gutted the Bible of necessary doctrines, such as the virgin birth, or the resurrection, etc. Such doctrines are fundamental to the Christian faith. That, to state it succinctly, makes them something other than Christians. Bishop Buddy, is clearly a theological liberal; therefore, she is not a Christian
If you disagree with the above points and you call yourself a Christian, then you might want to study the following chapter from 2 Thessalonians from which this excerpt came [in addition to reading, at least, the New Testament]:
2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
