In the following 13 minute video, you will see examples of tongue speaking by famous prosperity preachers T D Jakes, Bill Johnson, and Kenneth Copeland, among others. You will also see Bill Johnson’s congregation praying in tongues.
The vlogger who created the following video is John Henry, his site, The Gospel of Christ.
He opened the video with a moment or two wherein Dr. John MacArthur was talking about the charismatic movement and its beginnings [his statements herein are from his books Charismatic Chaos and Strange Fire; see remarks about Strange Fire below the video].
MacArthur’s book, Strange Fire, recorded the initial history of the Pentecostal movement. This foundational part of the book is dry reading, but in struggling through it, you will see that the two revivals that occurred in the first decade of 1900, were rife with lies.
I listened through the book at least 4 times in the past few years and it became clear to me that there is a biblical parallel to this sect, denomination…. It can be seen in the dividing of the kingdom after Solomon. The 10 tribes broke away and began their own man-made form of worship using two golden calves set up by Jeroboam at Bethel and Dan. After that, NONE of their worship was acceptable to God because it was founded on a lie.
Below are some links to other posts in this blog on important aspects of the above video discussion.
The following link is to a post in this blog, part 2 of the series on Paganism. It shows a modern day Pagan celebration held for the completion of the Gotthard tunnel in Switzerland.
I linked this because the revelry seen in this Pagan celebration has parallels with that seen in Bill Johnson’s church: everyone seemingly doing his / her own thing to worship; no order and so on.
The above link is to a 14 minute excerpt of the celebration; the link below is to a post in that series on Paganism that has the entire hour long celebration:
In case you are new to this blog, an entire category is dedicated to the charismatic church: see, Categories, Prosperity Preachers. The first post in that category contains 5 minute videos on Osteen, Hinn and Copeland, it also has a 5 minute video about the richest 20 pastors in the world; Copeland is by far the richest. Also, at the end of that post, there are definitions for many terms used in the videos, to aid readers new to the topic.
To see that post, click the following link:
If you would be interested in listening to MacArthur’s Strange Fire Conference [based on his book Strange Fire], then click the following link, there are 2 videos there, each about an hour in length:
If you want to see a 13 minute excerpt of the Strange Fire conference that deals specifically with the Kundalini spirit that is behind the craziness in the charismatic church, then click the following link to a post in this blog, it is the second of two videos. By the way, this post is about Christian Yoga; it is very related to the Charismatic church, which the excerpt makes clear. But in the excerpt, they do not get into Christian Yoga, read the post to learn about the demonic nature of that.

Lastly, the following 9 minute video is of Sid Roth teaching his audience to speak in tongues:

If you are of the Pentecostal persuasion, then please explore the entire category of Prosperity Preachers for posts that show the completely unbiblical nature of the charismatic church.

Thank you for shining a light on this controversial topic, I have always had a very creepy feeling on the (thankfully few) occasions where I’ve endured listening to someone demonstrating their interpretation of this “gift.” It strikes me as very fraudulent (at best) or downright evil.
If there IS something going on, then It’s nothing more than the enemy messing w/ people’s heads and has no more value than consulting a medium which ANYChristian would rightfully condemn. If they would not, then they ‘ain’t a Christian in my book.
I’m thankful I found your website.
Gregory, Thank you for commenting, and for your gratitude. I was lost in false religion for a long time, and it is very important to me to expose it when I encounter it. I’m glad you’re not wrapped up in that chaos. Michael A
