The best preachers I know speak of their souls falling into slumber mode from time to time. It is very important to listen to a preacher that will wake up your soul at such a times, because it is a dangerous mode in which to remain.
The following sermon excerpts ought to give your soul a rousing. Hopefully, you’ll be moved to a higher level of commitment! Or maybe you will find that you can come back to such preachers to wake you up spiritually when you sense you’re falling asleep.
The initial excerpts are more startling that the latter ones, something like the apostle Paul in Romans 1 — 5, more grace will be heard in the latter.

That is no little part of the Christian walk; unless you happen to be a mainstream Christian, then you don’t even know about this problem. Read the New Testament to learn about it.

In closing, I want to say that it is very good to listen to preachers that can make Jesus’ words about hell seem like they are real, because they are real. We tend to have some level of denial about death, hell and such things; and even if you are an avid Bible reader, God’s words can lose their power because of your denial. It is very important to learn to see when you are falling asleep spiritually and to seek out preachers that will awaken you.
