This post contains two 5-minute videos about death; and a 2-minute scripture reading of Proverbs 5: VIDEO 1: Pastor Daniel read the final words of 8 atheists and 5 Christians. We all need reminding of just how close death is and we need to think about the state of our souls, as our opportunities to seek God’s grace run out at the time of death. VIDEO 2: a video about the un-biblical Roman Catholic concept of purgatory. When I listened to video 1, I realized that many do not think that their eternal destiny is locked in when they die, like the Bible says. I was glad to find a video and article by Got Questions that biblically addresses this falsehood. (The article on Purgatory has several links to matters that are extremely relevant to the matter of death and eternal life) finally, video 3, a reading of Proverbs 5. Below that, I pasted in the scripture and a succinct commentary with some verses.

Tucker Carlson’s Demonic Attack Explained – Good Fight Ministries
On today’s episode we take a look at Tucker Carlson’s recent experience with demons. He claims that while he was asleep he was attacked physically and felt as though he was suffocating. Were these actual demons that attacked him or could there be another explanation? [This post will help readers understand more about how one might have an interaction with the demonic realm. It will also provide some insight into the post of yesterday on Satanism.]
What is the enemy within? – Got Questions Ministries
The apostle Paul recognized the fact there is an internal battle within each one of us; every believer has an “enemy within” that we must fight. This lifelong battle between the flesh and the Spirit will rage until our death. Romans 7:21–23 addresses the enemy within: “So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.” Paul understood that his fleshly nature would never conform to God’s will. No matter how much he might want to obey God in every way, he was fighting the “evil . . . right there with me,” the enemy within.
The Trumpets in Revelation – Martyn Lloyd-Jones
What do the trumpets in Revelation stand for? Why are they in the book? How can their teaching be applied today? In this sermon on the trumpets, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones teaches more about these symbols from the book of Revelation. He notes that the trumpets afflict only one-third of their objects. This is contrary to the seals of Revelation, which afflict things as a whole. What do the trumpets represent? They represent what happens to those who persecute God’s people. Many times when people are punished for their sin, it is easy to think that it is all a coincidence, but Dr. Lloyd-Jones reminds the listener that these calamities in Revelation are sent by God Himself….
C H Spurgeon’s Downgrade Controversy
This post puts discusses responses of 4 well known preachers of the 19th and 20th centuries, particularly regarding their stance against modernism and pragmatism, or to state it differently, the encroachment of worldliness and false teaching upon the church. The purpose of this post is to prepare listeners for the next post from MLJ’s series on Great Biblical Doctrines, wherein he is providing a further look at the book of Revelation. The section he discusses dealt with God’s judgment upon unregenerate men who persecuted His church. This post looks at movements since the late 1800’s wherein men from the church (unregenerate?) were bringing in worldly METHODOLOGY that carried with it worldliness and spawned false doctrines. Movements in the church today, side B Christianity; wokeness, White privilege… derive from the corruption that occurred earlier in the church. The corruption that Spurgeon, Machen, MacArthur and Sproul stood against.
The Suffering and Safety of the Redeemed – Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Symbolism is a regular part of life. Symbolism and pictures are used in language every day in order to help people better understand what they are trying to say. In this sermon titled “The Suffering and the Safety of the Redeemed,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones helps the listener better understand symbolism and the general themes of Revelation. This type of poetic language is everywhere in the book of Revelation, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand. Many of the symbols in this book are repeated, and Dr. Lloyd-Jones points out that this is a type of parallelism. He sees the book as divided into two main divisions with various subsections….
11th Circuit protects speech at public school board meetings – Alliance Defending Freedom
… In the case, Brevard Public Schools maintains an overly broad policy that bans any “statement” that board members subjectively deem “abusive” at board of education meetings. Brevard Public Schools’ prohibition on “abusive” speech allows district officials to unlawfully discriminate against certain points of view with which they disagree. For example, officials censored a member of Moms for Liberty who criticized “administer[ing] hormone blocking drugs to small children in the process of transitioning their gender,” claiming the speaker’s comments “insult[ed] half of [the] audience” and “were personally-directed, abusive, and irrelevant.”
Pennsylvania court rules to protect parents’ fundamental rights – Alliance Defending Freedom
This post is related to the last post, it is about the defense of the three women who filed suit against the teacher who taught gender ideology to their 6 year olds. In the last post, there are other links about this case also. The last will be linked at the very bottom of this post. Quote from article: “A teacher instructing first-graders and reading books to show that their parents’ beliefs about their children’s gender identity may be wrong directly repudiates parental authority,” the court wrote in its opinion. “The heart of parental authority on matters of the greatest importance within their own family is undermined when a teacher tells first-graders their parents may be wrong about whether the student is a boy or a girl.”
