Protesters Flood Statehouses in 17 States: Epoch Times

Supporters of President Donald Trump flocked to the capitals of more than a dozen states on Jan. 6 as a group of protesters in Washington broke into the U.S. Capitol. Small and mostly peaceful protests challenging the legitimacy of the 2020 election took place outside the statehouses in Arizona, California, Mississipi, Tennessee, Minnesota, Georgia, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Washington, Ohio, Oregon, Kansas, Hawaii, Wisconsin, and South Carolina. Signs saying “Stop the steal” and “Four more years” were common throughout amid the president’s ongoing dispute of the election results in seven states. Only a few arrests were reported and scuffles broke out in states like Ohio and California.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “USA demands the truth!”
…Trump has been urging Pence in the days leading to the joint session that he should discard electoral votes from battleground states where the integrity of the election is being questioned. Speaking to a supportive crowd outside the White House, Trump on Wednesday once again called on his vice president to use the power to reject presidential election results from those states.

Hundreds of supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump drove through the streets of Toronto in a large car parade and rally to protest against allegations of fraud during the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The event was organized by a group called Factual Canada. The group has planned second rally and car parade for Wednesday, Jan. 6. One of the organizers, who introduced himself as Mr. Zhang, told The Epoch Times that roughly 200 cars showed up for the event. Based on the online registration for the car parade, 60 were Chinese residents and others came from the Iranian, Vietnamese, and Tibetan communities.

Republican state senators in Georgia started a push on Monday to delay the Jan. 6 counting of electoral votes. At least a dozen have signed a letter directed to Vice President Mike Pence asking him to officially delay the count—and the number is still growing. “There’s about 16 or 18 of us now that signed this letter to the Vice President … asking him to delay the electoral vote for 10 to 12 days,” Sen. Brandon Beach told The Epoch Times. “We were going to get it to him tomorrow morning,” Beach said, adding that more Senators might still sign on.
