What the Media Don’t Tell You About Biden’s Illegal Immigration Crisis | Larry Elder

Once upon a time, President Joe Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the border crisis—what the Biden administration is calling a “challenge.” Back during the Democratic presidential debates, Biden said he would make sure a surge would happen at the border. As of today, Border Patrol has intercepted nearly 180,000 people trying to illegally cross the border, not to mention the many others who got away. Meanwhile, the mayor of Del Rio, Texas, is pleading with the Biden administration to put a halt to releasing immigrants in their city, saying they don’t have the resources to house and accommodate migrants. In this episode, Larry suggests that this crisis would have ended yesterday if illegal aliens-turned-citizens-turned-voters pulled the lever overwhelmingly for Republicans.

Biden Administration Announces Campaign to Make it Easier for Millions of Immigrants to Become Citizens: Epoch Times

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced Friday that the Biden administration is launching an inter-agency effort to make millions of immigrants living in the United States citizens. President Joe Biden asked federal agencies to work on “welcoming strategies that promote integration, inclusion, and citizenship,” through an executive order. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced Friday the agency’s plan to “breaking down barriers to U.S. citizenship” and promote naturalization for immigrants who are eligible. The federal campaign will actively recruit eligible immigrants and eliminate many naturalization rules that the Trump administration put in place so more people can apply.

In Not-So-Brilliant Move, San Francisco Spends Over $60,000 Per Homeless Tent – Epoch Times

San Francisco supervisors are all shook up! They just learned that they are spending about $61,000 per year to put a tent over a homeless person’s head, and they are not going to be reimbursed by the federal government (FEMA) for their foolish experiment because the tent encampments are considered group shelters. …Also, it must be remembered that in addition to this tent program, the city is conducting its homeless hotel program, which is currently sheltering over 2,000 more homeless people in hotels and motels throughout the city. That program is costing about $21 million a month and is eligible for federal funding from FEMA. Apparently that program is viewed as successful by its originators, as they don’t mind spending other people’s money (FEMA’s) as much as they do local resources. …I have made an effort to listen to many of the residents of these encampments, and their opinions are indeed varied. Many view them as a home away from home, a place to hang out without any responsibilities or personal investment, and thus with little or no incentive to better their lot. I do not think the concept of these villages being temporary in nature has been made clear to some of the inhabitants I have talked with.

Inflation and Investments: How Inflation Impacts Properties, Bonds, Stocks, and Precious Metals – Epoch Times

…Before making financial decisions, it can be helpful to understand the relationship between inflation and different types of investments. Consider the following ways that inflation can impact properties, bonds, stocks, and precious metals as you evaluate your portfolio and its performance. …“Currently, a portfolio of just Treasury bonds and cash does not provide the required return to compensate for inflation,” Saunders says. The reason for this is two-fold. Firstly…. “Investors may be quick to buy TIPS (Treasury Inflation Protected Securities) if they fear inflation is going to increase,” Saunders says. As the name suggests, these investment vehicles are adjusted for inflation. That said,… The S&P 500, which began in 1920s, has averaged around a 10 percent return. “Since the average U.S. inflation rate is around 2.25 percent, you can see…. “If you’re looking to outpace inflation rates, it could be worth investing a portion of your savings in precious metals like gold or silver,”

Replacing God: The CCP’s Century-Long War Against Faith: Epoch Times

Belief in a higher power is anathema to the atheist Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that for 100 years has sought to command absolute loyalty and control over its members and the Chinese people. “They just cannot handle an allegiance other than to the state,” Sam Brownback, former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, told The Epoch Times. As a result, successive Party leaders have launched campaign after campaign to crush and control people of faith in China. Mao Zedong, the first CCP leader, who oversaw one of the most thorough campaigns to dismantle Chinese religious life, compared religion to “poison” in a conversation with Tibet’s exiled leader, the Dalai Lama. In his autobiography, the Dalai Lama recalls Mao telling him in 1954 that religion “undermines the race” and “retards the progress of the country.”

Pennsylvania Democrats to Propose Bullet Tax and Encoded Rounds to Track Ammo Owners: Epoch Times

A 5 cent per bullet tax will be proposed in Pennsylvania as part of legislation to be brought forth by two state House Democrats, Rep. Manny Guzman and Rep. Stephen Kinsey. The tax would fund a state police database of ammunition sold in Pennsylvania. The planned legislation would require ammunition manufacturers to encode ammunition provided for retail sale in Pennsylvania, and to provide ammunition serial numbers to the Pennsylvania State Police for the ammunition database. The plan was revealed in a joint memo to the state legislature by Guzman and Kinsey.“Since 2015, only 21% of the nearly 8,500 shootings that Philadelphia has endured have resulted in an arrest or conviction,” the memo said. “Far too often, all that is left for the police to find is a victim and a bullet. By making the bullet a more useable piece of evidence….

Democrats criticised after yelling and screaming as Ohio Republican attempts to amend a bill: SKY NEWS

Furious Democrats have behaved “childishly” by yelling and pounding their desks while Ohio Republican Jena Powell attempted to speak on an amendment to a state bill banning biological males from female sports. Jena Powell attempted to add an amendment to the Ohio NIL bill – the ‘Name.Image, Likeness’ bill – which allows college athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness. Ms Powell’s amendment would see biological males banned from competing in female sports. The state Republican told the House it was an amendment needed for women trying to achieve their dreams in sport.“ It’s crucial to preserving women’s rights and the integrity of women’s and girls’ sports,” she said. “Across our country, female athletes are currently losing scholarships, opportunities, medals, education and training opportunities.”

Trump Visits US–Mexico Border, Claims Democrats Are Running a ‘Disinformation Campaign’ – Epoch Times

Former President Donald Trump on June 30 visited the U.S.–Mexico border for the first time since leaving office and accused Democrats of running a “disinformation campaign” around their border policies. …“They’re getting killed by the border, so now they’re saying, ‘Oh, we’ve got a problem, so let’s blame the sheriffs, let’s blame the governors, let’s blame everybody else but them,” Trump said, describing Democrats’ messaging of late as a “disinformation campaign.” …Since January, Biden has issued dozens of executive orders and memos that rescinded a number of Trump-era policies, while describing them as wasteful, ineffective, and unhumanitarian. …“The real question is, do [Democratic officals] really want open borders, or are they incompetent?” Trump said during the event. Trump had made the construction of a border wall a key campaign promise in 2016. “There’s only two things: you’re either incompetent or for some reason you have a screw loose and you want to have open borders.”

Biden Administration Is Mocking Ancient Wisdom: Epoch Times Commentary

…The supply of money governs inflation. Print it without either greater productivity or more goods and services, and the currency cheapens. Yet, America apparently rejects that primordial truism. The United States is more than $28 trillion in debt—about 130 percent of the country’s annual gross domestic product. The government will run up a $2.3 trillion budget deficit for 2021 after a record $3.1 trillion deficit the year before. The Biden administration still wants to borrow more—another $2 trillion in new social programs and “infrastructure.” …In the crazy past 100 days, the price of everything from lumber, food, and gas to cars and houses has soared. Yet, many interest rates are still stuck at or below 3 percent. Jobs are plentiful; workers are not. Is it a surprise when government handouts discourage the unemployed from taking a pay cut to go back to work? After being freed from 13 months of quarantine, Americans are splurging. But this huge pent-up demand is causing shortages.
