The Difference Between A Democracy And A Republic

…So, while they built into the Constitution significant democratic elements, they also built in non-democratic features to protect liberty and prevent tyranny. It wasn’t simply that they favored representative government over direct democracy, though they did; it’s that they rejected the idea that “the majority wins” was by definition the just outcome.

‘Nothing Short of Child Sacrifice’: Pelosi’s Archbishop Says Her Pro-Abortion Bill Is What He’d Expect from a ‘Satanist’

The Archbishop of San Francisco issued a scathing statement saying the pro-abortion Women’s Health Protection Act (HR 3755) passed by Congress is something he’d expect from a “devout Satanist” rather than a devoted Catholic.  Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone called out Catholic politicians, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who had praised the pro-abortion measure saying it’s about people’s medical choices.

Pfizer Scientists in Undercover Videos Say Natural Immunity Likely Better Than COVID-19 Vaccination – Epoch Times

A trio of scientists at Pfizer were recorded speaking to undercover reporters about the existence of natural immunity to the virus that causes COVID-19, with one saying employees had been told not to discuss the protection publicly. Natural immunity refers to the protection people enjoy against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus after recovering from COVID-19. “When somebody is naturally immune—like they got COVID—they probably have better, like not better, but more antibodies against the virus,” said Nick Carl, one of the scientists. “So your antibodies are probably better at that point than the vaccination,” he added later.

Six Key Takeaways From Senate Hearing With Facebook Whistleblower – Epoch Times

The Senate heard testimony Tuesday from former Facebook employee Frances Haugen, who came before the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security to raise the alarm about practices in Facebook that she said demanded congressional action. …After the hearing, Facebook issued a statement suggesting it was open to having the government “begin to create standard rules for the internet.” The hearing itself was initially prompted by an expose by The Wall Street Journal that showed Facebook had hidden research data on the harmful effects of its platform. However, the conversation between Haugen and the subcommittee delved deeper into the company’s practices.

Vermont Woman Fired, Denied Unemployment for Refusing Vaccine, Becomes Homeless and Flees to Florida – Epoch Times

…Having survived a physically abusive marriage and stage four endometriosis—which required multiple surgeries and left her unable to work—she was proud to finally be standing on her own two feet. “This was my first job after 10 years so it was a huge deal to me,” Skau told The Epoch Times. “As a mother of two, going back into the workforce after a horrible illness, was a big deal to me. I had just gotten my first apartment by myself because I was going through a divorce so this was a huge step toward independence. …“They knew I was conservative,” Skau said. “I didn’t hide it but I also didn’t shove it in their faces, and they knew how I felt about masks and that stuff.” …In fact, Skau believes it was her support of conservative principles, and not her vaccination status, that ultimately led to her termination.

Which Catholic Pope Do Catholics Believe?

Catholics believe that the Apostle Peter was their first pope but they do not believe his definitive doctrines. Instead they choose to believe and obey the heretical teachings of Pope Francis. This should be a serious dilemma for all thinking Catholics. How can two “infallible” popes contradict each other with their infallible teachings, and how can Catholics adhere to two sets of conflicting doctrines? Consider the following examples that contrast the teachings of the Apostle Peter with Pope Francis:

Remembering The Reformation – Mike Gendron

Why Was the Reformation Necessary?
As the Reformers were abiding in God’s Word, they realized the Roman Catholic Church was under divine condemnation for preaching a distorted Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). Catholicism was (and still is) distorting God’s Gospel of grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. They distorted the Gospel by adding requirements for salvation including sacraments, good works, keeping the law, purgatory and indulgences. This corruption of the Gospel continues to lead Catholics down the wide road to destruction (Mat. 7:13). As God opened the eyes of the Reformers to see the light of the Gospel and the glory of Christ, they began proclaiming it and calling Catholics to repentance.

The Believer’s Lifelong Battle for Holiness – Dr. John MacArthur

The MacArthur sermon in this post is preceded by a list of highlights for those who don’t have 45 minutes to listen. He answered many questions that believers have about what it means to walk in Spirit; about justification, sanctification and salvation. He also delved into pietism and the holiness movement; and legalism; these topics were considered to narrow down the meaning of true walking in the Spirit, as the others are common sideroads. If you are a new Christian, this sermon is worth coming back to many times, bookmark it.
