BACKGROUND:
- Conservatives have laid some blame for the attacks on political leaders, including figures like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) who used violent rhetoric against pro-life groups following the leak of the supreme court case.
- Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer also made menacing statements, saying previously that Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh will “pay the price” for overturning Roe v. Wade. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said.
