Although many New Testament writers including Paul wrote that Christians are to actively fight sin and engage in spiritual warfare, he also says that they are to stand strong in the Lord. This seems to imply that they are to let go and trust God’s strength, but is that compatible with the rest of the instructions in the New Testament? Dr. Lloyd-Jones provides a helpful analysis of this. The resolution, he says, is that Christians are called to fight but also to rely on God for the power to fight.

There has been a scandal in the Charismatic Church surrounding Shawn Bolz. This post contains a video short that provides an overview of that scandal; it also provides a 28-minute video offering a lot more coverage; finally, a 85-minute video by Justin Peters Ministries that provides thorough coverage of the scandal. The last video is embedded, so it may be listened to on YouTube, but it also may be pulled down because Justin had it pulled down once already. In this news video by R J Talks, he presented the political left’s take on Trump’s tariffs, the FBI purge and Musk’s job of reforming spending via his DOGE (dept of govt efficiency). The FBI purge was more widespread than people expected…. [On a related note, I went grocery shopping Saturday, and there was a significant price increase on the domestic products I purchased, eggs, yogurt, bread…. I am wondering if there is going to be price gouging by people who want to make Trump look bad? Or people who want to take advantage. I usually shop at either Giant Eagle or Walmart. Have to see what Walmart’s prices look like before I comment further on that matter.]
