Symbolism is a regular part of life. Symbolism and pictures are used in language every day in order to help people better understand what they are trying to say. In this sermon titled “The Suffering and the Safety of the Redeemed,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones helps the listener better understand symbolism and the general themes of Revelation. This type of poetic language is everywhere in the book of Revelation, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand. Many of the symbols in this book are repeated, and Dr. Lloyd-Jones points out that this is a type of parallelism. He sees the book as divided into two main divisions with various subsections….

11th Circuit protects speech at public school board meetings – Alliance Defending Freedom

… In the case, Brevard Public Schools maintains an overly broad policy that bans any “statement” that board members subjectively deem “abusive” at board of education meetings. Brevard Public Schools’ prohibition on “abusive” speech allows district officials to unlawfully discriminate against certain points of view with which they disagree. For example, officials censored a member of Moms for Liberty who criticized “administer[ing] hormone blocking drugs to small children in the process of transitioning their gender,” claiming the speaker’s comments “insult[ed] half of [the] audience” and “were personally-directed, abusive, and irrelevant.”

“Stricken Smitten and Afflicted” by Fernando Ortega

I love this song because its lyrics contain much doctrine that helps me to consider Jesus’ sacrifice for me (and you). This is a great example of spiritually edifying Christian music. Fernando Ortega’s version is beautiful. I posted the song previously, that version was sung by Pastor Brian Cochran while he played guitar. That post was directed at personal psalm / hymn singing before reading the Bible.

The Resurrection of the Body – Martyn Lloyd-Jones

The soul will live forever, but what about the body? Is there Scriptural evidence upholding a physical raising of the body? In this sermon titled “The Resurrection of the Body,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones expounds on a difficult topic by surveying the teaching of the Old and New Testament on the subject. As he demonstrates, the New Testament is clearer in its teaching regarding the resurrection. Nonetheless, the doctrine is present in the Old Testament as well. Some modern-day Christians are skeptical regarding the literal physical raising of bodies, but Dr. Lloyd-Jones draws attention to the hope that the writers of Scripture portrayed through their writings regarding the resurrection. While human bodies were sown in sin and weakness, he says, Christians will be raised in glory and power on the last day as they partake in the glories of Jesus. Indeed, the resurrection and redemption of the body is a part of salvation.

J D Vance Converted Religions – Here is Why it Matters by Todd Friel

The video opens with J D Vance stating why he became a Roman Catholic. Todd Friel noted that Vance is typical in that many young adults who were raised in Protestant churches, later turn to the Roman Catholic Church, RCC. The initial 5 minutes of the video explain why the RCC is not biblical, as the way they ‘infuse’ righteousness into a believer via baptism performed by a priest is Man-Made dogma. The rest of the video goes through what the reformers did to get the Bible into the common languages of the people and other relevant matters. He briefly explained the efforts of several reformers from 1200’s to the Protestant Reformation. Below his video, I inserted some scripture that explains from the Bible those RCC errors, as Friel’s teaching was too condensed to include such things from the Bible.

This post explains the foundational doctrines of Justification and Imputation. Justification is explained by a 6-minute video transcript by Barry Cooper of Ligonier Ministries; imputation is explained by R C Sproul via a 1-minute, 19-second video, the transcript is also provided. This post is being published to add clarity to the post of Saturday, wherein Mike Gendron explained why it is that the Roman Catholic Church is NOT the One True Church; also, tomorrow’s post is about J D Vance’s conversion to Catholicism. In the video, Todd Friel briefly explains the trend of young Christians to do that, then he explains the biblical gospel and how the reformers were active in the church between 1200 and 1540. He showed how their work of translating the scriptures into the common language and ironing out the doctrines of justification and imputation returned the church to that of the first century apostolic church….

Pennsylvania court rules to protect parents’ fundamental rights – Alliance Defending Freedom

This post is related to the last post, it is about the defense of the three women who filed suit against the teacher who taught gender ideology to their 6 year olds. In the last post, there are other links about this case also. The last will be linked at the very bottom of this post. Quote from article: “A teacher instructing first-graders and reading books to show that their parents’ beliefs about their children’s gender identity may be wrong directly repudiates parental authority,” the court wrote in its opinion. “The heart of parental authority on matters of the greatest importance within their own family is undermined when a teacher tells first-graders their parents may be wrong about whether the student is a boy or a girl.”

US court denounces school for teaching 6-year-olds trans ideology behind parents’ backs – The Christian Institute

In this article from The Christian Institute, a Pennsylvania court, Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon school district, teacher, Megan Williams, championed Transgender Awareness Day, and taught 6-year-olds about gender ideology without parental permission. Parents normally have the option of removing their children from teaching that conflicts with their religious and moral beliefs.
