Federal Agency Warns Users to Update iPhones as Soon as Possible – Epoch Times

“Apple has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple products. An attacker could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected device,” the notice, dated March 28, reads. “CISA encourages users and administrators to review the following advisories and apply the necessary updates.” …The iOS 16.4 upgrade also fixes two flaws in the iPhone operating systems, tracked as CVE-2023-27969 and CVE-2023-27933 that could allow a malicious actor to execute code without the user knowing. Meanwhile, another flaw, CVE-2023-28178, could allow an attacker to bypass the user’s Privacy preferences, says Apple via its support page.

Kentucky Bans Transgender Procedures for Minors After Lawmakers Override Governor’s Veto – Epoch Time

Lawmakers in Kentucky’s legislature on Wednesday passed into law S.B. 150—a bill that prevents minors from accessing transgender procedures—having voted to override Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of the measure. The move means that Kentucky is the 11th state in the country to ban transgender procedures for minors. It becomes the eighth state to do so this year.

Last March, the Biden administration issued an executive order that makes it very clear that this is where we are headed. They supposed that they would get away with this the same way Wilson, FDR, and Nixon did. …But not so fast. We live in a digital age of information sharing and plenty of people know exactly what is going on. We have the example of China to know how control of money through digital technology allows also for full population control. That’s a nightmare and does not belong in the United States. As a result we are starting to see a real populist movement develop against this idea.

Beware of Toxic Spices: Heavy Metals Found in Major Brand Names – Epoch Times

Despite four lawsuits over the last two years over significant levels of toxic heavy metals in big brand names of herbs and spices found in a 2021 consumer report, big box stores continue to carry the listed brands and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet set stricter limits on heavy metals for dry herbs and spices. In November 2021, Consumer Reports published a report titled “Your Herbs and Spices Might Contain Arsenic, Cadmium, and Lead.” The report covered the outcome of their analysis of 126 individual products from national and private-label brands, such as Great Value (Walmart), La Flor Spices, McCormick & Company, Penzeys Spices, Spice Islands, and 365 by Whole Foods Market.

​The Epidemic of Teen Depression: A National Scandal – Epoch Times Commentary

The numbers are grim: “In 2021, 57% of high-school girls reported experiencing persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in the past year, compared with 36% in 2011. Thirty percent reported they seriously considered attempting suicide in 2021, up from 19% in 2011.” …There’s a strong indicator in the Wall Street Journal report: It turns out that depression is assailing liberal and progressive kids disproportionately. The progressive worldview is downright depressing, and those who are pushing those doom-and-gloom views—particularly educators and politicians—are to blame for getting so many impressionable young people hooked on sadness and pessimism.
