The troubles currently facing New York City and its residents are boundless. Skyrocketing crime, random assaults, stabbings, and shootings have hurt the already struggling restaurant and tourism industries amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. There is also an obvious decline in the quality of life from higher taxes, increased homelessness, as well as the difficult situations faced by low-income families forced into low-quality public schools. These economic, social, and safety issues facing the city have come to light in a new documentary titled “This Is New York” by director and filmmaker Matthew Taylor, a guest on my Newt’s World podcast last week.

Montana AG Concerned Illegal Immigrants May Be Relocated to Montana, North Dakota: Epoch Times
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials stated there are “no plans” to send illegal immigrants to northern states such as North Dakota and Montana, although Montana’s attorney general expressed concern that it might eventually happen. …“Putting illegal immigrants in North Dakota would endanger our communities and do nothing to fix the border crisis @POTUS caused but still won’t acknowledge,” he wrote last week. “@DHSgov told me over the weekend this won’t happen, and I plan to hold the administration to that.”

New York and California took first and second place in the contest for which states had the most people choosing to leave. …A specific motivator in Pearson’s decision to choose Florida was his “deep respect” for Gov. Ron DeSantis because of his moves to ban Critical Race Theory, to enact an anti-riot bill, and his unapologetic position of “backing the blue.” Pearson also admires the widely criticized decision by DeSantis to lift all COVID restrictions, which he believes are killing California.
