The Gospel: its modern (false) look; how it morphed, part 3

The following 20 minute video by realtruthmatters.com covers the downgrade idea of C.H. Spurgeon and its more modern counterpart, pragmatism.

RTM gives plenty of illustrations to show how the pragmatic church has turned to worldly means for presenting Christ to potential converts.

In the process, RTM shows how the new, modern methodologies have violated scripture by relying on entertainment and novelties to draw new people into the church.

Moreover, that these methods have created a new false gospel message that does not save.

The solution is returning to the old paths of scripture and away from modern man’s new gospel.

In conclusion, I want to encourage readers to meditate upon the facts presented in this video series, as it shows the history of how the current church arrived at such an ungodly state. When men began to emphasize unity / love over doctrine / truth, changes occurred that ushered worldliness into the church. Gradually, these modern methods became crystalized into new modern, false doctrines that have no power to save.

Men, themselves, made a gospel message. They thereby displaced the Savior in their own hearts and in their churches. Similar churches in Europe are presently empty hulls.

The Bible speaks of such things. Consider one example of men providing their own means of salvation from the book of Jeremiah:

Jer 2:11 Has any nation ever traded its gods for new ones, even though they are not gods at all? Yet My people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols!
Jer 2:12 The heavens are shocked at such a thing and shrink back in horror and dismay,” says the LORD.
Jer 2:13 “For My people have done two evil things: They have abandoned Me—the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!
