I remember hearing this story read to me in second grade. I also remember thinking about it later while I was sled riding, apparently during Christmas break from school.
That was in 1958. Much has changed since then.
I was so fortunate as to have grown up on a farm; we didn’t have a TV until I was 6; so I escaped a lot of media brainwashing, but didn’t realize the value of that until later in life.
What do you think second graders think about these days, when Christ is generally not part of Christmas?
