The following is Mike Gendron’s Newsletter for December 2024. I copied and pasted it from my email inbox. He and his wife started a ministry for Roman Catholics after Mike was born again. Mike had been active in the Roman Catholic Church for 37 years.
He attended seminary and ministers to Roman Catholics by explaining to them how their faith differs from the Bible. Those differences are significant: the gospel message of the RCC does not save, as it differs significantly from the Bible.
The Condescension and Exaltation of Jesus |
Would you agree the most transcendent passage in the Bible takes us from Christ’s inherent glory in eternity past, to His incarnate purpose on earth, and finally, to His glorious exaltation throughout eternity? Paul describes this condescension and exaltation of Jesus Christ in Philippians 2:5-9. The eternal Son of God emptied Himself and took on the form of a bond-servant and was made in the likeness of men. He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death on a cross. For this reason God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name (Phil. 2:5-9). Man’s Perfect God Became God’s Perfect Man The uncreated, infinite and eternal nature of God was fully integrated with the finite, created nature of man. Jesus “had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people” (Heb. 2:17). This is such an amazing testimony of God’s profound wisdom in redeeming mankind. In all ways He became like us with two exceptions – He had no human father and He never sinned. Man’s perfect God became God’s perfect man to die as a perfect sacrifice which was the only way divine justice could be satisfied for His people.
Deity and Humanity in Perfect Unity In the descent from His majestic position in eternity past, Jesus was “made in the likeness of men” through a miraculous conception and a virgin birth that united His divine nature with a human nature. His eternal glory was concealed by the perishable flesh of man. Jesus humbled Himself to take on all the frailties, limitations, suffering, hunger and thirst of Adam’s fallen race. He was tempted like us in every respect. He even “emptied Himself” by refusing to cling to His privileges, advantages, and prerogatives as God. By becoming fully human, His divine nature took on certain limitations, including time and space, knowledge and power, and physical mortality. He Was Born a Man so Man Could Be Born of God In God’s profound wisdom, He conceived the only way mankind could be redeemed without violating any of His attributes. He demonstrated His attributes of holiness, righteousness and justice in punishing man for his sin while His attributes of grace, mercy and love in forgiving man for his sin remained in perfect harmony. The Lord Jesus Christ lived a perfect life to die as the perfect substitute for sinners who would repent and believe His Gospel (Mark 1:15). Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God (1 John 5:1). Christ Was Born to Die to Give Life to the Dead As we reflect on the condescension of Christ this month, let us proclaim His excellencies to those who are still in darkness (1 Pet. 2:9). He was born to die so that the spiritually dead could be born again to eternal life and be raised up and seated with Him in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). What a glorious Savior we have to love, worship, honor and obey! |

Devotion to Christ Must Not Be Led Astray |
The Apostle Paul was concerned that just as the serpent beguiled Eve, false teachers would corrupt the minds of Christians from their pure devotion to Christ (2 Cor. 11:3). During this advent season, the devotion to Christ is led astray by a scandalous devotion to Mary. Catholics have given her many attributes reserved for Christ alone, such as sinless Mediator, Advocate, bodily assumption into heaven, immaculate conception, and the channel of all grace. Catholics need to know that Mary was not extraordinary in who she was, but in what our Lord did through her. Yes, she was the recipient of God’s grace, but she was not the channel of all grace. She was highly favored, but so is every Christian (Eph. 1:5-8). The Lord was with her, but He is also with every Christian (Mat. 28:20). Mary was blessed, but so is every Christian (Eph. 1:3). Yes, Mary was chosen to bear Christ physically, but every believer is chosen to bear Christ spiritually in their hearts through faith (2 Thes. 2:13; Eph. 3:17). Let us encourage everyone to fix their eyes on Christ alone, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Heb. 12:2). He alone is worthy of all “blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power” (Rev. 7:12). |

Bizarre Tales from Catholics in Purgatory |
An incident from the life of the Italian priest, Saint Padre Pio, indicates that souls in Purgatory may request our prayers. One day, he was praying in the choir loft when he saw a figure he assumed to be a young friar. The figure told him he had been in Purgatory for sixty years, and requested Padre Pio’s prayers. So Padre Pio spent the night in prayer, securing their release. The Catholic Church teaches: “All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of Heaven.” Read more bizarre tales here. Anyone who has a desire to empty purgatory of all the people being purged of venial sins can do what a U.S. General did by purchasing indulgences and following his instructions that he gives here. Mike’s Comment: The only way Catholics will know they are woefully deceived about Purgatory is to read the inspired Word of God. “When He (Jesus) had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Heb. 1:3). His blood, not purgatory, cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). |

Letters to Equip and Encourage the Saints |
Mike Gendron believes he is doing God’s work by converting weak Catholics, who are vulnerable to his persuasion. He is a false prophet in an apostate church that leads people away from Jesus and His Holy Catholic Church of Rome, the only church He established. Please have Mike Gendron contact me to answer my questions. E.C., Internet Hi E.C., You can call me anytime at (817) 379-5300. It would be my privilege to discuss any of your questions after you read my article What is the One True Church?. Mike, I am a born-again Christian and wondered if it is ok to send my son to a Catholic high school. He is a strong believer and up until this point, my five children have always been homeschooled. I do not fear that my son will suddenly start to take on the false teachings of Catholicism. Kristi, Internet Hi Kristi, The Catholic school system was started by the Jesuits in the 16th century during the counter Reformation. Their goal has always been to indoctrinate students with Catholic teaching and convert non-Catholics to Catholicism. I attended a Jesuit high school and know this first hand. Tragically, we have several friends who have lost their children to Catholic indoctrination. They did not take our advice to keep them out of Catholic schools because they said their children were sound in the Christian faith. I pray you will use godly wisdom in your decision. Hi Mike, You take vicious barbs from people you love and want to help. I am praying that you will continue to speak the truth despite the pain you must feel. Your ministry is a mighty instrument for the gospel. Thank you for your concise description of how people can receive God’s forgiveness. I want to share it with my Catholic relatives, but as we can see from the comments under your interview with Allie Beth Stuckey, it is like putting your head in a lion’s mouth. I love your clear thinking and especially your courage in the face of vicious invective. God bless you, M.G., Internet Dear friend, I have listened to your teachings. You give enormous depth into the false misleading teachings of Roman Catholicism. Never fear, dear friend, the Lord is using you mightily. Your understanding as to how to chisel away their intentional deception is marvelous. I pray for God’s mighty outstretched hand to remain upon Mike guarding him and his powerful ministry while keeping him from harm. R.D., Cambridge, New Zealand Mike, I love the way you stand on God’s Word alone. All this trash a lot of people are throwing at you under your message is strong evidence that you are doing great damage to the kingdom of darkness. Do not grow weary in doing well because you will reap if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6). J.D., Internet |

Guess What the Pope Has Done Now |
Pope Francis has named a pro-LGBT priest to a key position in the Vatican that has generated new consternation among the Catholic faithful. Father Pasolini, a 53-year-old Capuchin friar from Milan, is the new preacher of the Papal Household. Since the priest’s elevation, his critics have pointed to troubling statements captured on video, where he encourages his congregations to imagine figures from the Bible having same-sex relations.
