Timothy Brindle and Shai Linne Witnessing Christ via Lyrical Edification, (Hip Hop)

I was exploring Westminster Theological Seminary’s YouTube site this morning and found a 1 minute video on lyrical edification. It was Timothy Brindle inviting people to attend a concert.

Since I am familiar with him because a young Christian introduced me to his music a decade or so ago, I thought I would put a few of his songs in a post to introduce him to younger Christians or to those who like hip hop.

Furthermore, Brindle and Linne are both seminary students and have put their theological education to good use witnessing Christ to the people with whom they relate. A good lesson for us all. God has us where we are for that purpose.

I really like the following songs by Brindle because he says a lot about the things that I have been posting in this blog: God the Holy Spirit revealing his idols and showing him that his only hope is in Christ.

Brindle at WTS:

A cut from his “Restoration” album that talks about our natural state in Adam: ruin:

Another cut from “Restoration” that talks about the Holy Spirit revealing Brindle’s real self to him, his idols, his defenses, his pleasure seeking to escape conviction of sin…:

The next cut is by Shai Linne and conveys a wonderful message that became very powerful to me as I continued to listen to it:
