The hymn is a video by Brian Cochran, he sings the song while playing guitar; lyrics are pasted in for those who might want to sing along. I find it easy to sing along with his songs, it is like being in church and singing along with the congregation. Spurgeon’s evening thoughts follow hymn and lyrics.
Today, he emphasized two very common problems: compromise, in his morning thoughts; and calling in his evening thoughts. Since he was such an excellent biblical preacher, his words are very worth considering. As I read his morning thoughts, I thought of how the church is compromising with the CRT and LGBTQ movements; and of how liberalism has been an issue for over a hundred years, Spurgeon himself fought against it in his writings. And they are not ashamed of lying…. On the other hand, truth is vehemently opposed. Those same leaders are making laws against truth and it is central to their mission to punish righteousness…. Within four minutes of participating in a rally in Calgary, Canada, supporting a student’s defiance of the woke agenda being promoted in his high school, Josh Alexander was arrested. His alleged crime? Handing out Bibles to the student participants. The real reason? Josh Alexander, for whom the rally was named (the “I Stand with Josh Alexander” International Walkout Protest), has a history of defying the authorities in the name of Jesus Christ. …Kicking Josh out of school for expressing his Christian beliefs regarding sexuality and gender is unlawful religious discrimination.
The application details the shockingly discriminatory conduct of teachers and students at St. Joseph’s, as well as Principal [Derek] Lennox’s retaliatory decisions to suspend and exclude Josh for expressing his beliefs and organizing a student walk-out to protest St. Joseph’s policy of permitting biological males to enter and use the girls’ washrooms.
This post contains two videos on hell. The first is 2-minutes 28-seconds in length; therein, Voddie Baucham provides a biblical explanation of hell that you may not have heard before. His explanation silences all those who say that it was unfair for God to have saved only some people from hell…. The second video, 15 minutes, is the son of pastor John Piper, Abraham Piper, who via Tic Toc rants and mocks hell. The video was produced because A Piper has over a million YouTube followers and his erroneous teaching needs to be challenged.
The purpose of this post is to show what has happened to the values of, SBC preacher, J D Greear between the years of 2014 and 2021. He flip-flopped from holding biblical doctrine to holding un-biblical doctrine. In the initial video, from 2014, you will hear Pastors Voddie Baucham, Russell Moore and J D Greear discussing gay marriage. These men also say a lot about biblical marriage and what has happened via cultural influences. Each man was pro-Bible in his doctrine. In the second video, 2021, you will hear what J D Greear said then about gay marriage and homosexuality. His doctrinal stance had become anti-Bible. This post contains a 58-minute video of a Justin Peters’ interview. He was speaking with woman’s Bible teacher, Susan Heck about Beth Moore. Peters asked specific questions to Susan Heck via which she critiqued Beth Moore. The initial part of the interview covered errors in Moore’s content, then about complementarianism vs egalitarianism; then miscellaneous questions about husbands and wives…. Below the video are links to various credible women’s Bible teachers and authors, resources for a variety of topics mentioned during the interview. I was very moved to learn, during Justin’s introduction, that Susan Heck has memorized the entire New Testament during her 30 years of ministering to women; her husband is a preacher who has done the same.
This post contains a 23-minute personal testimony of a homosexual who was led to Jesus. His testimony occurred over several years and is still going on, which seems to be typical. That is, I think that most who are converted from a long-life of sin go through a process something like he described. He now works for First Stone Ministries, which helps the sexually broken. I hope his story is a source of hope for others who are helplessly stuck in sin, sexual and other varieties of sin. Jesus saves sinners, if you are a sinner, then you are qualified to be one of His saved ones.
