These anti-God systems of power are shameless and corrupting; they applaud debauchery, mock virtue, cancel truth… and are obsessed with power.
Babylon will not be stopped [by men].
In the Bible, its first appearance was at the tower of Babel; it is also spoken of in the book of Isaiah and in Revelation. Tyre, Nineveh, and Rome were also called Babylon.
