AT HOME IN ROME – THE APOSTASY – THE BEREAN CALL (TBC)

Video title:  AT HOME IN ROME – THE APOSTASY – THE BEREAN CALL – TBC

Intro:

I learned about this video from the recent Mike Gendron Newsletter. The 30-minute video focuses on the errors of the ecumenical movement. The Pope and Rick Warren are key figures in this movement.

The central truth propounded by the video is that the Bible is the word of God; that God set forth in His word how He is to be worshipped; His word is truth; that truth cannot be compromised by those whom He is saving.

All the false systems of belief discussed in the video oppose God and His word in that they emphasize unity over doctrine. The Bible calls believers to speak the truth in love.

Rick Warren and the Pope, for example, are diligently busying themselves unifying all religions of the world. They speak mighty words about the benefits of such a unity…. That basically describes the “ecumenical” movement.

The core message of the ecumenical movement is “unity / love first; doctrine divides.”

See scriptures below the video for God’s take on doctrine, unity and world peace.

The video opens with a 2019 meeting of the Pope with the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb. They met in the interest of world peace, calling the three Abrahamic faiths of Christianity, Islam and Judaism to create bonds of peace and dialogue….

The video identifies many reasons why these doctrines of men are opposed to the doctrines of the Bible and the God who gave them.

If you have been in favor of ecumenism; or if you are a Roman Catholic, then this video has come crucial biblical information for you.

JESUS Said:

Matthew 10:32  So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33  but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. 34  “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Mat 10:35  For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36  And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. 37  Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38  And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39  Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

[Jesus’ words are adamantly against a unity that tosses out doctrinal differences; believe the Pope and religious leaders like Rick Warren at your own peril.]

Furthermore, true believers are placed into covenant with God when they are given birth from above (see John 3:1-8, therein Jesus stated the His Spirit give the new birth when He sees fit; and that true believers are given the new birth).

God established that covenant with Abraham; the apostle Paul spoke more on that in Romans and Galatians, he firmly connected that covenant with the new covenant in Christ’s blood:

Galatians 3:29  And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. [The promises of that covenant God made with Abraham. Those who have been born from above, as described in John 3, are heirs; when they were born from above, they were united to Christ by the Holy Spirit, not by a decision….]

Jesus said in John 15, that true believers are attached to Him like branches to the vine; and that branches have no life and can bear no fruit without the life they receive from Him.

He also said therein, about true believers:

John 15:18  “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19  If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Throughout the Bible, God calls His people to be separated from the world, which includes those of other religious beliefs. Per God, in His Holy Bible, there is one truth; one true way to worship Him; One true triune God….

Read Genesis 12 to learn about God’s calling to Abraham.

Jeremiah’s call:

Jer 1:4  Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

[To be consecrated is to be set apart FROM the world.]

Read Acts 9 to learn about God’s calling of the apostle Paul, formerly known as Saul.  Saul was a Pharisee of high standing and he was persecuting the true religion. The risen Christ called him on the Damascus road, and consecrated him to a ministry to the Gentiles. He was set apart, from the world, to be a minister of God; he received the new birth.

He did not do that on his own, like the Pope and Rick Warren and the rest of the ministers of other world religions….

After reading through the Bible many times, it occurred to me that NOT ONE Person from the scriptures found God on his own. God revealed Himself to everyone of them.

He does the same to each born-again believer. After a true believer is called by God the Holy Spirit, he / she is formed into the image of Christ. That process is outlined in Christ’s words via the beatitude statements: Matthew 5:3- 12. If you read that passage, you will find that the conflict between the true faith and the world (which includes all man-made religion) is an inherent part of life on this earth.

That is, per the God of the Bible, there will never be world peace. The Bible does speak of a counterfeit peace however.

Therefore, the ecumenical ministry of the Pope, Rick Warren and these other religious leaders of the world is opposed to the true ministry of the God of the Bible.

Don’t take my word for it. Read through the Bible while you still have life, time….

Do we all “love the same Jesus”?

Do we need the Catholic Church, the Abrahamic Family House, Rick Warren, the Finishing the Task Coalition, and the Chosen to fulfill the Great Commission?

Can we as believers have “unity through community”?

“Satan is not an atheist; he believes in God…. He is the god of this world. He’s the author of false religions. Satan’s big program is not to make atheists out of everybody, but just to pervert, just to corrupt the truth enough so that they think they are right with God. They think they are Christians when they are really not. He is the author of false religions.” —Dave Hunt

“We all pray to the same god.” —Jonathan Roumie Rick Warren left Saddleback to “work with churches of every denomination.”

“You’ve got Catholics, and Jews, and Mormons, and evangelicals. We’re all loving the same show, so maybe, just maybe, we’re loving the same Jesus.” —Dallas Jenkins

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-8
