Alternate Self-Exam Form:

After posting the Paper Tantrum form recently, I looked at other forms by Knock Knock and purchased the above form so I could scan and post it.  I thought it would be an excellent tool for learning to process relationship problems. It targets most of the elements that ought to be journaled when one is writing about problematic interactions; and its convenient checklist format makes analyzing an interaction quick and easy.

For those new to the arena of self-examination and the analysis of  relationship problems, these are great forms; and they add an element of fun to those processes. At some point, however; journaling should accompany these forms. I would recommend deeper exploration via a journal if / when patterns of dysfunctional behavior, feeling displacement, passive-aggressive behavior etc., become apparent. The information in post 1D provides more advanced tools for dealing with such problems.

I am not implying that everyone can fix their own problems with the aforementioned knowledge, but they certainly can improve their own relationship skills. If one is involved in therapy, then he or she may already be using such processing tools.

If one is a born-again student of the Bible, then God the Holy Spirit is resident Physician, Comforter…and He will be working on you. But as a great preacher once said, God works most where we work most; so, improving one’s relationship skills that he might interact more gracefully with his brothers and sisters in Christ is a good thing; and the above information certainly can aid in enhancing those skills.

This packet of forms was around $10 on Amazon.
